House de Nobrega will be situated on a beautiful piece of farmland close to the rural community of Hekpoort, Gauteng, South Africa. The site gently slopes towards the Midriver on the northern boundary with the picturesque Magaliesberg Mountain Range in the distance.
These natural elements served as inspiration for this contemporary barn-style home, consisting of 3 pitched steel boxes linked by a central corridor. The owner’s brief was that the home should blend into the natural surroundings and frame the most prominent views of this beautiful setting.
Big glass sliding doors on the northern façade slides open promoting inside outside living, while letting in as much natural light as possible. I would like to believe that this home resist elaborate description and serves as a farm style hideaway form the business of live – A contemporary home cebrating nature.
